Two more people have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by a substance believed to be pepper spray, according to law enforcement.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area for suspected theft and assault and a woman, 23 was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, authorities confirmed.

The arrests come after a probe into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases after getting out of a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Police arrested a man in his thirties on suspicion of theft and assault close to the scene. He was subsequently released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were called at approximately 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of people injured by an irritating chemical thought to be an irritant spray.

The assault - which police said was a standalone incident and not being treated as terrorism - resulted in delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 parking facility for a short time.
